The Hon. Secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Maria Susana V. Ople, recently met up with several US based employers of Filipino migrant workers in Washington DC. Among the representatives for the healthcare staffing industry were Careline Services General Manager David Lawler and Recruitment Director, Ariel Cariaso.

In the meeting, employers of land and sea based migrant workers reiterated their commitment to hire more Filipino workers and protect the workers as they venture into another country for work. DMW Secretary Ople on the other hand, reiterated her invitation for a constant dialogue with the employers on several initiatives being looked into by the Department for the protection of Filipino workers.
